BOX FEAR OUT

Here's a little trick when fear comes up.

Create a box around yourself and imagine that the fearful thought or feeling cannot penetrate that wall. Push the fear out as you expand the box. Make it whatever size to give you the room you need. The fear cannot get through and it can yammer on all day, it cannot touch you. However, when you make the box, the fear goes away, probably from lack of fuel.

My guess is that a habit of this will diminish the fear as you become accustomed to living without it.
